Key responsibilities
- Discussing design, alteration, or repair requirements with camp head maintenance.
- Taking measurements and ensure quality and exact finish.
- Accurately recording of measurements, instructions, and preferences.
- Attaching labels to materials in use to prevent any errors.
- Repair seat covers, head rest, picknick bags, zippers, sliders and also modifying the roof if need be.
- Add value to existing design of vehicle canvas, seat covers and guest tents by ensuring frequent checks and PPM.
- Constructing of new design ideas, specifications, and preferences.
- Providing camp with cost estimates for the construction of customized items.
Candidate requirements
- Government Trade Test 2 or 3 in Tailoring.
- Proven experience working as a canvas/tent tailor.
- Sound knowledge of material like ripstops, shade net, PVC, sewing thread, braided nylon rope, zip and sliders.
- The ability to use a sewing machine.
