Key responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: –.
Undertaking market research, surveys and analyses;.
Implementing procurement plans and processing purchase requisitions;.
Participating in sourcing, supplier evaluation/rating, inviting offers, negotiations and contracting;.
Drafting of procurement and disposal plans and budgets;.
Drafting bid awards and tender advertisement notices;.
Drafting letters of notification after the tender evaluation;.
Preparing minutes for tender opening exercise and submit to tender evaluation committee;.
Identifying demand, planning and procurement of the items required by the user directorates and divisions;.
Conducting inspection and verification of the items received by the relevant committee;.
Verifying payment documents for goods, works and services delivered/rendered to FRC by suppliers and other service providers; and.
Updating contract details in government portals and FRC websites.

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce (Supplies Management option), Procurement and logistics or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;.
Membership to Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or a relevant professional body and in good standing; and.
Proficiency in computer applications.
