Key responsibilities
- Conducting closed manipulative reduction of fractures and dislocation of joints in Musculo-skeletal system;.
- Providing corrective treatment of orthopaedic and trauma conditions;.
- Manipulating and reducing fractures and dislocations;.
- Fixing and removing casts, bandages and tractions devices for patients;.
- Managing congenital talipes equino-varus;.
- Cleaning and treating simple wounds resulting in orthopaedic trauma;.
- Documenting orthopaedic and trauma cases; and.
- Assessing and referring patients in Musculo-skeletal system.
Candidate requirements
- For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:.
- Diploma in orthopedic Trauma Medicine or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;.
- Been registered with the relevant professional body; and.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
