Key responsibilities
- Documenting of patient history and diagnosis;.
- Examining the patient/client to determine the cause and level of disability;.
- Prescribing, fabricating and assembling prosthetic/orthotic devices;.
- Preparing and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices;.
- Advising patients/clients on the importance of mobility and immobilization devices;.
- Screening patients/clients for the conditions that require rehabilitative services;.
- Verifying and maintaining information relating to patients; and.
- Maintaining records of supplies.
Candidate requirements
- For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:.
- Diploma in Orthopaedic Technology or its equivalent from a recognised institution;.
- Must be registered with National Association Orthopedics of Kenya; and.
- Proficiency in computer application.
