Key responsibilities
- Planning, organizing repairs and maintenance of medical equipment;.
- Managing medical engineering services;.
- Supervising, training and developing staff and students on attachment in the workshop;.
- Ordering of spare parts and consumables; calibration of equipment;.
- Preparing maintenance budgets, organization and planning of purchase of medical equipment/spare parts;.
- Providing advice on technical aspects of medical equipment; and.
- Initiating maintenance and repair of equipment.
Candidate requirements
- For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:.
- Diploma in Medical Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;.
- Been registered with the Association of Medical Engineers; and.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
