Key responsibilities
- An officer at this grade will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:.
- Implementing strategies, policies, manuals, plans, standards and procedures pertaining to investigations;.
- Conducting investigations of any complaints on police misconduct;.
- Collecting and collating information and drafting reports to inform investigations;.
- Updating the internal case tracking system of all investigations;.
- Supporting the prosecution process in court in liaison with the division head;.
- Supporting the implementation of quality assurance standards of investigations;.
- Participating in rapid responses;.
- Gathering evidence and analyzing information on investigations and Forensics;.
- Updating, maintaining and ensuring safe custody of all investigative records; and.
- Implementing risk mitigation measures.
Candidate requirements
- For appointment to this grade, an officer must have the following qualifications:.
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Forensic Science, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Law, Social Science or any other relevant field from a recognized institution; and.
- Proficiency in Computer Applications.
