Key responsibilities
- Technical Proficiency.
- Proficiency in the installation, configuration and maintenance of ICT hardware, software, and networks.
- Sound knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection compliance.
- Ability to manage ICT assets, maintain accurate inventory, and coordinate ICT equipment repairs.
- Strong user support skills; developing ICT procedures, delivering training, promoting effective technology use.
- Familiarity with server infrastructure and wireless access point management (e. g. Aruba networks).
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
- Ability to train and build capacity among non-technical users.
- Strong communication skills; effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
- Professional, proactive and responsive approach to service delivery.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy in diagnosing and resolving ICT issues.
- Capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and respond effectively to emergencies.
Candidate requirements
- Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft Systems Engineering, ITIL.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience similar role. Previous experience working in a school environment will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience managing network infrastructure and user support in an institutional setting.
