Key responsibilities

  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and data validation testing.
  • Validate and analyze large datasets to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Test APIs and verify data exchanged between systems.
  • Create, execute, and document test cases, test plans, and test results.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Support UAT efforts and help validate business requirements.
  • Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and quality practices.

Candidate requirements

  • Hands-on experience writing and executing SQL queries.
  • Experience using API testing tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
  • Experience writing Python scripts for test automation, validation, or data analysis.
  • Exposure to test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Experience with data warehouse, ETL, or data pipeline testing.

Required skills

Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, testing principles, and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)Clear understanding of different testing types, including regression testing, UAT, functional testing, and integration testingExperience working with and validating large datasetsBasic understanding of SQL and the ability to query data for validation purposesExperience testing and validating APIs
