Key responsibilities
- Seeing and examining patients;.
- Diagnosing and treating ailments;.
- Providing clinical outreach and school health services;.
- Sensitising patient and clients on preventive and promotive health;.
- Giving support and health education to the community and patients;.
- Implementing health care activities in liaison with other health workers;.
- Carrying out surgical procedures as per training and skills;.
- Collecting and compiling clinical data; and assessing, preparing and presenting medical leave reports, and referring patients to appropriate health care facilities.
Candidate requirements
- For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:.
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Clinical Medicine & Surgery, Clinical Medicine or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- Been registered with the Clinical Officers Council;.
- Valid practicing licence from the Clinical Officers Council; and.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
