Key responsibilities
- Coordinating the development, implementation and review of research and innovation policies, strategies, procedures and plans.
- Developing modalities for collaboration with external researchers and research institutions.
- Identifying national, regional and international innovative trends that are relevant to KISE.
- Undertaking patenting of KISE research and innovations.
- Establishing both local and international partnerships to enrich research and innovative programmes.
- Coordinating the dissemination of research and innovation information.
- Coordinating the development of research and innovation programmes.
- Spearheading the preparation of research and innovation reports.
- Coordinating the development of the research and innovation database.
- Reviewing research agendas and tools.
- Reviewing research proposals and concept papers for research and innovation programmes.
- Monitor and review research and innovation programmes.
- Benchmarking on best practices on research and innovation.
- Coordinating the submission and documentation of innovations.
Candidate requirements
- Membership to a relevant professional body in good standing.
- Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution.
- Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines: Special Needs Education Engineering, Science, Social Sciences, Applied Research, Education Technology, Statistics, Economics or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized Institution.
- Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Special Needs Education, Engineering, Science, Social Sciences, Applied Research, Education Technology, Statistics, Economics or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized Institution.
- Cumulative service period of twelve (12) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been at the grade of Principal Research and Innovation Officer or in a comparable position.
